About Us
Booran Motors, a longstanding presence in the automotive industry, traces its roots back to 1965 when it began its journey with the founding of Holden in Caulfield. Since then, it has been dedicated to serving the community with exceptional service and spare parts for their vehicles.
As the Holden brand continued to flourish, Booran Holden established a permanent residence in Cheltenham in the early 1990s. By 1995, a second Holden dealership was proudly established in Dandenong. The expansion continued as Dandenong welcomed Suzuki and Peugeot franchises in the mid-1990s.
With two thriving Holden dealerships in Cheltenham and Dandenong, the Booran Group's growth continued as it acquired a third Holden franchise based in Cranbourne in early 2004. The year 2010 marked the introduction of KIA into the Booran family at their Cheltenham location.
In mid-2012, Cranbourne Hyundai was acquired, underwent extensive renovations, and transformed into a state-of-the-art dealership. This marked the beginning of a strong relationship with the Hyundai brand. Further expansion occurred in 2014 and 2015 when Booran Motors opened new Hyundai franchises in South Morang and the suburb of Berwick.
The year 2016 saw the Booran Group expand even further, with the addition of their 4th Hyundai dealership in Dandenong. In the same year, Booran Motors proudly gained their first Mitsubishi franchise and introduced the Citroën brand in mid-2017 at Cheltenham.
Continuing their expansion, 2018 brought the introduction of Volkswagen in Frankston, a second Kia franchise in South Morang in September, and the opening of MG, a European giant, at Cranbourne in mid-December.
Early 2019 witnessed the growth of their European arm with the opening of Bayside Skoda in January and the introduction of their first Isuzu Ute franchise in Cheltenham in mid-February. Midway through the year, they gained their 3rd Kia dealership and their first Nissan franchise. Late 2019, the MG franchise expanded with the opening of a new dealership at their Dandenong location.
Booran Motors didn't stop there; in mid-2020, they continued their growth by opening two new franchises. This included their 4th Kia franchise and a 2nd Mitsubishi franchise, further expanding their presence in Cranbourne. Late in 2020, the group added General Motors Special Vehicles to their Dandenong and Cheltenham locations.
In 2022, the MG brand continued to flourish with the opening of their newest franchise in Berwick, conveniently located next door to their existing Hyundai dealership.
Fast forward to March 2023 the Booran Group launched into their next exciting acquisition with the reintroduction of Chinese car maker – Chery. Setting a strong foothold in the metropolitian area with dealerships located at Cranbourne, Cheltenham, Dandenong and South Morang.
Booran Motor Group now employs over 470 people and stands as one of the most progressive and reputable family-owned dealership groups in the motor industry.
