OFF-ROAD FEATURES
Jimny's rigid body design provides excellent ground clearance for the extra fun parts of your journey. Hill Hold Control and Hill Descent Control keep Jimny grounded when navigating steep slopes, while Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control improve stability in slippery situations.
Part-time 4WD system
ALLGRIP PRO provides extra capability when you need it. The part time 4WD system allows you to switch between 2WD and 4WD to suit the driving conditions. In 4WD mode, power is distributed to all four wheels evenly.
Hill Hold Control
Keep moving onwards and upwards with Hill Hold Control. It prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards on steep and bumpy slopes, so you can concentrate on your ascent.
Hill Descent Control
Manoeuvre tricky descents confidently. Hill Descent Control automatically applies the brakes to maintain a fixed speed so that you can focus on steering.
Extra ground clearance

Cover slippery ground with confidence. If two diagonal wheels lose grip while you’re travelling over slippery surfaces, this feature will automatically brake slipping wheels and redistribute torque to the other two wheels, allowing the Jimny to make its escape.
Electronic Stability Control
Jimny helps you stay on track with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) by distributing engine torque and applying brakes to individual wheels.
Dual Camera Brake Support System
The new-generation Dual Camera Brake Support system in Jimny XL acts as an extra layer of collision prevention. Working like an extra pair of eyes on the road, the dual camera lenses monitor and detect vehicles, pedestrians and obstacles ahead of you, applying automatic braking if an impact is imminent. DCBS operates between 5 and 120km/h.
